Liverpool face six new managers in first six matches — a Premier League first

Liverpool's opening six 2026-27 Premier League matches all come against clubs with new managers: Glasner (Forest), O'Neil (Ipswich), Maresca (City), Jaissle (Newcastle), Arbeloa (Fulham) and Rose (Bournemouth). Opta found no prior example of a top-flight side facing six new managers in its first six matches. A record nine clubs changed managers this summer.
