
Two-time world champion Zolani Tete shot dead outside his South African home
Two-time world boxing champion Zolani Tete, 38, was shot dead outside his home in Mdantsane, Eastern Cape, on Friday evening. Two masked gunmen opened fire on his car at approximately 6:30pm. A female passenger was hospitalised. Police declared Tete deceased at the scene; no arrests have been made and a murder investigation is under way. Tete held the WBO bantamweight and IBF super-flyweight titles.
