MLS fines Messi for slap on Quinn Sullivan in fiery Inter Miami draw

MLS has fined Lionel Messi after he slapped Philadelphia Union's Quinn Sullivan on the back of the head near the end of Inter Miami's 2-2 draw on 19 August. Messi, 39, reacted after complaining Sullivan had elbowed him. The league confirmed the fine but did not disclose the amount. Inter Miami's Ian Fray was also fined for grabbing Sullivan by the neck.
