Arsenal began their Premier League title defence with a 3-0 win over Coventry City at the Emirates on 21 August 2026. Goals from Kai Havertz, Bukayo Saka and Martin Ødegaard settled it. For Coventry, it was a first top-flight match in 25 years. Arsenal had been crowned champions the previous night when Manchester City dropped points at Bournemouth.
