Universal Music Poland acquires Kayax Records catalog and brand

Universal Music Poland has acquired global recording rights and the brand of Kayax Records, a Warsaw independent founded in 2001, Polish daily Rzeczpospolita reported on 20 August 2026, calling it the largest takeover in years on the Polish music market. The catalog covers close to 130 albums by artists including Brodka, Nosowska and Maria Peszek. Financial terms were not disclosed.
