New York City tops CBRE's tech-job ranking for the first time, displacing the Bay Area

New York City ranks first for U.S. tech jobs in CBRE's 13-year-old "Scoring Tech Talent" report, the first time it has held the spot. CBRE counted 394,300 tech jobs in New York versus 375,730 in the San Francisco Bay Area. Bay Area layoffs and New York hiring in finance and AI drove the reversal.
