Rugby brain injury lawsuits survive strike-out bid and will go to trial

The High Court has ruled that 530 former rugby players' brain injury claims against the sport's governing bodies will proceed to trial. Senior Master Cook said he would personally have struck them out but cited "exceptional circumstances" and "a particular element of public importance" in allowing them to survive, subject to conditions set at a further hearing.
