Nintendo removes 401 Switch emulator repos from GitHub in single-day DMCA sweep

Nintendo filed seven DMCA notices on one day, removing 401 Switch emulator repositories from GitHub. The Suyu network alone accounted for 311 repos. Nintendo cites its US$2.4 million Yuzu settlement and a US$17,500 judgment against streamer EveryGameGuru as precedent. Combined with 8,500 repos removed in May 2024, total takedowns approach 9,000.
