UUfie stacks a chalet renovation four storeys into a Niagara Escarpment slope
Toronto studio UUfie has renovated a 1970s chalet on the Niagara Escarpment, a UNESCO biosphere reserve in Ontario, into Belfountain House — 430 square metres across four storeys within a 238-square-metre footprint. Cofounder Irene Gardpoit said the design was approached sectionally to follow the slope. Half the original structure was preserved.
