Jono Darby takes over lead mid-run in Emily Steel's Fringe show at Summerhall

Jono Darby stepped into the lead role of Emily Steel's "How Not To Make It In America" at Summerhall mid-run during the 2026 Edinburgh Festival Fringe. The Fringe's short rehearsal windows and limited runs frequently require such quick cast changes. WhatsOnStage called the show, set in New York around 2001, "a remarkably watchable, brilliantly observed hour of theatre." The Fringe closes 25 August.
