Root becomes England's most successful Test captain as side goes 1-0 up against Pakistan

Joe Root's 27th win as England Test captain — a record among Englishmen — came in his first match back in charge, an innings victory over Pakistan at Headingley that put England 1-0 up in the three-Test series.
