ACT proposes national cancer centre, estimated $2b

ACT will campaign on building New Zealand's first national cancer centre, with campuses in Auckland and Christchurch. The party estimates about $2 billion in capital costs. New candidate Paul Henry devised the plan, posted to ACT's website on 21 August 2026. Funding would come from public-private partnerships, donations, and redirected government health spending.
