
Na Hong-jin's 'Hope' pre-sold to 200 territories, recouping nearly half its budget before wide release
Plus M pre-sold Na Hong-jin's 'Hope' to roughly 200 territories out of Cannes — a record for a Korean film, per The Hollywood Reporter. Those deals reportedly recouped nearly half the net production budget before any wide release. The creature feature has earned $35 million in South Korea since its 15 July opening. Neon releases it wide in North America on 9 September.
