SEVENTEEN's Vernon released his self-written, self-composed solo single "I'll Be Back" at 6 p.m. KST on August 20, 2026 — hours after reporting to a South Korean military training centre. Vernon will serve as a social service worker, with an expected discharge date of May 19, 2028, Billboard reported. He first performed the track at his July 2026 solo concert.
