Dave Bautista cast as Kratos in Amazon's 'God of War,' replacing injured Ryan Hurst

Dave Bautista will play Kratos in Amazon Prime Video's two-season "God of War" series, Variety reported on 20 August 2026. He replaces Ryan Hurst, cast in January, who tore his bicep on set in Vancouver. Surgery would have pushed production into 2027. All Hurst's scenes will be reshot with Bautista.
