Gabito Ballesteros launches HitKidz Records, signs 15-year-old Kanito Escalante

Gabito Ballesteros has launched HitKidz Records, with 15-year-old Kanito Escalante as its first signed artist, Billboard reported on August 20. Escalante, from Puerto Peñasco, Sonora, built his following on TikTok. The label's debut single 'Cali', featuring Escalante, Calle 24, El Bogueto and Ballesteros, was released the same day. Ballesteros told Billboard Español the label follows the corridos tumbados movement pioneered by his brother Natanael Cano.
