Netflix comedy exec Andy Weil joins Amazon MGM as Head of Comedy TV

Andy Weil, a Netflix comedy executive for more than 11 years, is leaving to become Head of Comedy TV at Amazon MGM Studios on 14 September, per Deadline. He reports to scripted TV chief Peter Friedlander, also ex-Netflix. Weil is the first hire to move straight from a current Netflix role onto Friedlander's team; prior recruits had already departed Netflix before joining.
