TV Tokyo backs first foreign studio to build a Naruto app

TV Tokyo has invested in Sekai and licensed the Paris-Tokyo indie to build the first-ever Naruto app by a foreign studio — the broadcaster's first Western investment since Crunchyroll. The deal nearly died when TV Tokyo went silent for a month. Sekai CEO Samy Therain flew back to Japan and booked a hotel across from TV Tokyo's office to restart talks.
