Three exhibitions on Sofonisba Anguissola open in 2026: at the National Museum in Oslo, the National Museum of Women in the Arts in Washington, D.C., and Rijksmuseum Twenthe in the Netherlands. Oslo's "[Woman] Painter" uniquely features 19 Renaissance women painters, including four Anguissola sisters largely written out of art history; an adapted version travels to the Galleria Borghese in Rome.
