
Minneapolis police charge amateur artist in US$80,000 theft from Leon Hushcha's studio
Minneapolis police charged Ricardo Bassat, an amateur artist, in connection with the theft of US$80,000 worth of paintings and prints from Leon Hushcha's studio in the city's North Loop neighbourhood, according to a criminal complaint. Bassat was identified from surveillance footage after a tipster recognised him. A second suspect has not been named. Recovery of the works is unconfirmed.
