Smoczyńska's AI Thriller 'Hot Spot' Now in U.S. Theatres via Focus Features

Agnieszka Smoczyńska's Hot Spot, a post-apocalyptic AI thriller scripted by her The Lure collaborator Robert Bolesto, is now in U.S. theatres through Focus Features. Focus acquired rights in November 2024; the film premiered at Fantasia and Poland's New Horizons and won an ensemble cast award at Fantasia in July 2026. Variety published its review on August 20, 2026.
