Golden Axe Animated Series Premieres September 16 on Paramount+

Sega's 1989 arcade beat-'em-up Golden Axe becomes a ten-episode animated series on Paramount+, premiering September 16. Initially announced in April 2024 for Comedy Central, the show moved to Paramount+. It takes a satirical, meta-humour approach to the fantasy genre rather than a faithful adaptation. The first trailer debuted via Entertainment Weekly.
