US Open 2026: Record $5.5m champion's cheque heads $108m prize pool

The 2026 US Open will pay singles champions $5.5m each — the largest winner's cheque in Grand Slam history — from a record $108m total player compensation package, the USTA announced. That is up 20% from 2025's $90m and 44% from 2024. Wimbledon paid its 2026 champions $4.9m; the Australian Open, $2.9m. Play begins next week at Flushing Meadows.
