Zacatecas cancels Luis R. Conriquez fair concert under crime-glorification law

Zacatecas state authorities cancelled Luis R. Conriquez's 28 August performance at the Fresnillo National Fair. Secretary general Rodrigo Reyes Mugüerza invoked Article 190 of the state penal code, citing content that exalts violence and organised-crime imagery. Conriquez is a leading figure in corridos bélicos, a genre centred on drug trafficking. Zacatecas offered to help Fresnillo hire a replacement.
