Prince Laurent recognises natural son: Clément Vandenkerckhove becomes Prince of Belgium

Prince Laurent of Belgium has formally recognised Clément Vandenkerckhove, 26, as his natural son through signed legal paperwork, making him a Prince of Belgium with the style HRH. Under Belgian royal rules, descendants of King Albert II bear the title whether born in or out of wedlock. Vandenkerckhove has no place in the line of succession, which is limited to those born in marriage, and will receive no public money.
