Open-source DJI replacement app reverse-engineers camera protocol with AI assistance

Developer Konrad Iturbe released Osmosis, a free, open-source replacement for DJI's Mimo app, built with help from the AI Claude. Iturbe reverse-engineered the protocol DJI cameras use to communicate with Mimo — work that once required specialized expertise. Osmosis needs no logins or activation and supports the Osmo Nano, which DJI's own SDK does not.
