Chapel with glass floor links tabernacle to playground at Lisbon school extension

António Costa Lima Arquitectos has extended Colégio de Santa Maria in Lisbon with cascading concrete cubes. At the top, a chapel cantilevers outwards with a glass floor panel creating a visual connection between the tabernacle and a children's playing court below. The studio described it as linking the sacred and the everyday. The project was reported by Dezeen on 20 August 2026.
