Chile's film fund faces 64% cut in 2027 as Kast takes axe to culture budget

Chile's Audiovisual Investment Support Fund is set to fall from $586,000 in 2026 to $208,000 in 2027 — a 64% cut — under President José Antonio Kast, who took office in March.
