ECB reviews Yorkshire's £1.75m payment to CEO Sanjay Patel's company over Hundred sale

The ECB is reviewing a £1.75m payment Yorkshire CCC made to SMP73, a company in which CEO Sanjay Patel owns more than 75% of shares. The payment relates to the sale of Yorkshire's Hundred franchise. The Guardian first reported the review in June 2026. Patel replaced Stephen Vaughan as Yorkshire CEO in 2024.
