Heat-damaged pitch forces PSG to start Ligue 1 season away at Rennes

Exceptional summer heatwaves left the Parc des Princes pitch so badly damaged that LFP officials ruled it unsafe for play, citing player safety. PSG's opener against Rennes was reversed to Roazhon Park on 23 August. PSG will relay the pitch before hosting Monaco on 4 September. Rennes effectively gain an extra home match to start the season.
