Manoj Bajpayee to play Mahatma Gandhi for the first time in Sudhir Mishra's 'Gandhi And My Mother'

Manoj Bajpayee will portray Mahatma Gandhi for the first time, headlining Sudhir Mishra's "Gandhi And My Mother," per Variety (20 August 2026). The film covers a 21-day chapter in which Gandhi walked away and reinvented himself. Saurabh Shukla has joined the cast. Anubhav Sinha's Benaras Mediaworks produces with Narendra Hirawat; NH Studioz presents. Production is slated for 2026. No release date is set.
