Hayden Panettiere dies at 36 in Greenville, South Carolina

Hayden Panettiere, who played cheerleader Claire Bennet on NBC's Heroes (2006–2010) and starred in Nashville, died on 16 August 2026 at age 36. She was found unresponsive and in cardiac arrest at a Greenville, South Carolina residence, ABC News and People reported. Police said no foul play is suspected; an official cause of death has not been determined.
