Fondation Claude Monet warns heatwaves pose compounding threat to Giverny gardens

The Fondation Claude Monet, which maintains the artist's house and gardens in Giverny, Normandy, warns that successive heatwaves pose a structural, compounding threat to the site. Temperatures peaked at 42°C during France's hottest summer on record. Plants weakened by previous summers do not fully recover when temperatures cool, the Fondation says.
