Nicola Coughlan's Bridgerton Season 5 role reduced amid Only Murders in the Building filming

Nicola Coughlan appears in fewer Bridgerton Season 5 episodes while filming Hulu's Only Murders in the Building Season 6, Deadline reported on 19 August 2026. Coughlan called the reduced role "bittersweet" and "so nice and low pressure." She joined Only Murders — which relocates the trio to London — in June 2026 and has wrapped production. Coughlan said she will "always pop back to Bridgerton" if wanted.
