Colombia counts 40 damaged heritage sites after 7.4-magnitude quake that killed 304

Colombia's Ministry of Culture reports 40 nationally protected cultural properties damaged across seven departments by the 10 August earthquake, which killed 304 and injured 4,548. Of those, 22 were severely impacted, 13 moderately and five lightly. An additional 84 undesignated assets were hit, including 39 religious sites. Twelve of 15 historic districts in the affected area suffered damage. The 14 August report is a first survey, not a final count.
