Taiwan rejects Gwangju Biennale's renaming of Taiwan Pavilion as 'NTMoFA'

Taiwan's Ministry of Culture rejected the Gwangju Biennale Foundation's claim that the National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts registered as an institution, not a national pavilion. The ministry called the claim "clearly incorrect" and vowed to insist on participating as the Taiwan Pavilion or take "necessary actions" if denied. The 16th Gwangju Biennale opens 5 September in South Korea.
