Marissa Jo Cerar develops 'Drowning in Paper Flowers' for television with Universal Global Television

Deadline reports showrunner Marissa Jo Cerar is developing E.L. Westbury's novel 'Drowning in Paper Flowers' for television. Jenna Bush Hager and Ben Spector of Thousand Voices produce alongside Universal Global Television. The project is in development — no pilot or series order confirmed. Cerar created ABC's 'Women of the Movement' and Hulu's 'Black Cake'. Thousand Voices has a first-look deal with Universal Studio Group.
