Sainz re-signs with Williams despite slump to ninth in 2026

Carlos Sainz has signed a new multi-year contract with Williams, committing beyond 2026 despite the team sitting ninth of 11 at mid-season. Their car built for the revised 2026 rules arrived late and overweight. Sainz, who scored two podiums in 2025, said: "I believe in the people who form this team." Alex Albon's 2027 deal completes the line-up.
