Warwickshire sign Australia opener Weatherald for 2027 County Championship

Warwickshire have signed Australian opener Jake Weatherald, 31, for the 2027 County Championship. He scored 483 runs at 60.37 in six matches for Leicestershire in 2026, with one hundred and three fifties. Weatherald, dropped by Australia after their historic home defeat by Bangladesh, called Edgbaston "one of the great grounds in world cricket".
