A lawyer who saw Clayton Nascimento's monologue "Macacos" began representing the mother of Eduardo de Jesus Ferreira, a ten-year-old killed by police in Rio's Complexo do Alemão on 2 April 2015. The case was reopened, and on 26 June 2026 the Rio de Janeiro State Public Prosecutor's Office charged two officers with aggravated homicide, according to Variety. The indictment says the boy was shot in the back from about four metres.
