All 100 Judd aluminium boxes to be moved in Marfa artillery shed restoration

The Chinati Foundation in Marfa, Texas will move all 100 of Donald Judd's untitled mill aluminium works (1982–86) for the first time in over 40 years this autumn, as it begins restoring the two former US Army artillery sheds that house them. The buildings joined the National Register of Historic Places in 2025 as part of the Donald Judd Historic District. Schaum Architects and the Getty Conservation Institute are among the assembled team.
