Tivoli opens Hikari, largest themed area in the Copenhagen park's 183-year history

Tivoli, the amusement park in Copenhagen that opened in 1843, unveiled Hikari on 15 August 2026 — the largest themed area in its history. It includes two new rides, a Takashi Murakami artwork, and buildings clad in 60 tonnes of brick shipped from Japan. CEO Susanne Mørch Koch told Dezeen the project reflects 180 years of bringing the world to Copenhagen.
