All four BMG A&R reps independently flagged Velvet Trip before signing — under a unanimity rule BMG says it requires for every deal

BMG signed Velvet Trip, the project of Wiradjuri songwriter Zeppelin Hamilton, to a global publishing deal on 19 August 2026. Heath Johns, BMG's president for Australia, New Zealand and South-East Asia, told Billboard that all four A&R team members independently flagged the act. BMG signs only when the decision is unanimous, Johns said. Terms were not disclosed.
