Taylor Sheridan kills Yellowstone spinoff 6666 to protect the real ranch he co-owns

Taylor Sheridan has killed the long-planned 6666 Yellowstone spinoff. Speaking on Dale Brisby's Rodeo Time podcast, he said: "There's never going to be one." Sheridan co-purchased the real 6666 Ranch in Texas in 2020 and said he would never fictionalize it, arguing that would trivialize a working ranch where real people work and raise families. Paramount announced the spinoff at its 2022 Upfront. No production date or cast was ever confirmed.
