Shrinking Season 4 in development, writers hire therapist consultant for Gabby's new practice

Shrinking showrunner Ashley Nicole Black told Variety's Showrunner Breakfast on August 14, 2026 that Season 4 is in development. The character Gabby moves into a different therapy practice, so the writers brought on therapist Dr. Andrea Barthwell as a consultant. Season 3 earned 10 Emmy nominations.
