Netflix orders 'Ghettoside' straight to series, reuniting 'The Night Of' writers Zaillian and Price

Netflix ordered a six-episode limited series from Steven Zaillian and Richard Price, co-writers of HBO's The Night Of, Deadline reports. Tentatively titled Ghettoside, it adapts Jill Leovy's 2015 non-fiction book on LA homicide. The order went straight to series — no pilot — off multiple completed scripts. Netflix declined to comment. The Night Of earned 13 Emmy nominations and five wins.
