Venus Williams awarded 2026 US Open wildcard at 46

Venus Williams, 46, has received a wildcard for the 2026 US Open — a main-draw invitation for players outside the ranking cut. She becomes the oldest singles player in the tournament in 44 years. The two-time champion (2000, 2001) has not won a Grand Slam singles match since Wimbledon 2021. Last year she pushed ninth seed Karolina Muchova to three sets.
