BMI to honour songwriter Johnny McDaid with President's Award at 2026 BMI London Awards

BMI will present songwriter Johnny McDaid with its President's Award at the 2026 BMI London Awards on September 28 at The Dorchester in London. The performing rights organisation, representing more than 25 million works, announced the honour on August 18. McDaid's co-writes include Ed Sheeran's "Shape of You," the first song to pass five billion Spotify streams. He holds 17 BMI Awards.
