Teona Mitevska Announces Sequel to Berlinale Winner 'God Exists, Her Name is Petrunya'

North Macedonian filmmaker Teona Mitevska revealed at the Sarajevo Film Festival on 18 August 2026 that she is developing "Petra Doesn't Want to Die (Anatomy of Masculinity)," a sequel to her 2019 Berlinale Ecumenical Jury winner "God Exists, Her Name is Petrunya." Co-written with Elma Tataragić, the film pairs a Belgian teenage feminist with a Macedonian incel. No production dates or cast disclosed (Variety, 18 August 2026).
