Dolly Parton misses Dollywood roller coaster opening on doctor's orders

Dolly Parton did not attend the August 14, 2026 opening of Dollywood's NightFlight Expedition coaster in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. In a video shared by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, the 80-year-old said her Nashville doctor advised against the 200-mile trip after she got "a little dizzy" and dehydrated. Parton also postponed a Las Vegas residency planned for September, citing undisclosed medical procedures. No rescheduled dates have been announced.
